Title : The Remains of Hell
Filename : REMAINS.WAD
Author : Jason Dyer
Email Address : jdyer@indirect.com
Misc. Author Info : Don't ask.
Description : Before the first DOOM missions, you were one of
the ones "voluntarily" sent through the portal
that caused so many problems in the first place.
You were immediately captured and tortured
repeatedly.
(long expanse of time skipped)
After the end of DOOM 2, with many of the structures
destroyed, you were transferred to some underground
caverns. During the confusion, you managed to slip
a pistol in your pocket. Now, all you have to
do is escape, and hopefully find your way back home.
See the extra info on the bottom for more ramblings.
Additional Credits to : The authors of all the various programs I used.

LEVEL 1:
How do I get the soulsphere?
You have to use the archville's "jump". Obviously, you need the invulnerable
to do this.
How do I get the chainsaw?
First you have to visit the room in the top right of the map with the blue
key door and get the two skull keys there. Then go to the archville room,
open the two doors, and you will find the chainsaw.
Is there a computer map anywhere?
Yes, in the top right blue key room. Look for an unusually straight wall.
LEVEL 2:
Where is the red key?
In the room with the heart on the pillar, you can pass through one of
thewalls. NOTE: have the yellow key with you before you do this.
Where is the blue skull key?
A room to the far west on the map has two switches. One of them lowers a
lift that lets you get across the gap in the bridge. The other one lowers
a section of wall. You can then jump from the stairs adjacent to the yellow
key room to this lowered floor. The blue skull key is in the rooms beyond.
Is there a computer map anywhere?
Yes, in the room with several chaingunners and one renevant there is
a secret wall.
LEVEL 3:
Help! I keep getting lost!
There is a computer map you can get very early on, but it will not help you
much. Use decorations and corpses as landmarks. Try to draw out what you
think the level might look like on paper. Or, if you don't mind the cancer
and/or mutations it may cause, you can use IDDT.
I keep getting hurt and I can't see a monster anywhere.
Spectres match pretty well with the surroundings. (The good news is that
there aren't that many.)
How do I kill the cyberdemon?
With teleport frag. The appropriate teleporter is lowered by a switch
on one of the pillars.
LEVEL 4:
Where is the red key?
There is none. I suppose someone else already took it. Guess you'll have
to find another way through.
LEVEL 5:
Help! I'm dying!
Sorry, no help here. Somehow you have to last the full 5 minutes.
